Frankie's named in Times top 30

September 8th 2014

Frankie’s has been chosen as one of the top 30 best fish and chip shops in the UK by the Times newspaper.

In a recent supplement, we came in at No.25 with the text highlighting our “proud boast” that we are the most northerly fish and chip shop in the UK and our second place in the National Fish & Chip Awards 2014.

“You couldn’t hope for a better outdoor setting – you’ll probably be able to spot the boat your meal was caught from,” observed the writer.

The writer also described our shop as a “little wooden shack” – so we hope they will visit soon to see for themselves!

“It’s great to win recognition from a major national newspaper like the Times,” said Frankie’s manager John Gold.

“We’d be delighted if a Times writer would like to take up our offer of a visit to Frankie’s to taste the fresh, quality produce that is landed in Shetland, processed in Shetland and cooked and served here in the shop.”
