Carlyn Kearney named as finalist in Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards

Frankie’s Fish & Chips shift manager Carlyn Kearney is a finalist in the Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards 2014.

She will compete against Eilidh Todd of North Highland Initiative and Isla Urquhart of The Loch Ness Inn for the title of Young Ambassador of the Year.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony and gala dinner in Inverness on 7th November.

Carlyn, who was National Young Fish Frier of the Year in 2013, said: “I’m very proud to have reached the final of the Young Ambassador of the Year award.

“We have a lot of tourists coming into the shop, especially in the summer, and we work hard to cater for them.”

The Scalloway Hotel is a finalist in the Best Restaurant Experience category of the same awards.
