Seafood weekend raises £1,500 for Fishermen's Mission
July 3rd 2014
The Charity Seafood Weekend held by Frankie’s and Blueshell Mussels along with the owners of the Mussel Inn generated £1,550 for the Fishermen’s Mission.
Profits and donations from the three-day event, held on 6th, 7th and 8th June, were presented last week by John Gold of Frankie’s and Michael Laurenson of Blueshell to Aubrey Jamieson, superintendent of the Mission in Shetland.
Janne and Kristian Johansson from the Edinburgh and Glasgow Mussel Inn restaurants travelled to Shetland to cook a very popular menu – Saturday 7th June was the busiest yet at Frankie’s.
Mr Jamieson said: “We are grateful once again to Frankie’s, Blueshell and Janne and Kristian for putting on such a good event to raise funds for the Fishermen’s Mission.
“It’s pleasing that so many folk turned out to enjoy the first-class seafood on the menu.”
