Frankie's shortlisted in Scotland Food & Drink Awards

Frankie’s Fish & Chips has been shortlisted in the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.

 

We will compete against the Eileandubh Restaurant and The Bridge Inn at Ratho in the Scottish Sourcing category.

 

More than 100 businesses in food and drink entered the 18 different categories, and two other Shetland firms – Lerwick Brewery and Shetland Cheese Ltd – are also on the shortlist.

 

The award ceremony will be held in Edinburgh on 22nd May at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

 

Frankie’s manager John Gold said: “The provenance of our fish and shellfish is extremely important to us.

 

“As our customers know, we are now accredited by the MSC for four sustainably-caught or harvested species – haddock, crab, mussels and scallops.

 

“It’s very pleasing for Frankie’s to win further recognition for our approach and we look forward to the awards.”

 

The event, to be attended by more than 700 guests, will be hosted by TV presenter Kaye Adams.

 

The awards are organised by Scotland Food & Drink, The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland.
